PCV ..packed cell volume is the percentage of red blood cells in the circulating blood..a decreased pcv is associated with variety of reasons like cell destruction,blood loss..etc..so blood loss and anemia comes under decreased pcv..most of the the pregnent women are with dietary iron deficiency which leads to low haemoglobin and low pcv..

incresedpcv seen in abnormal increse in the red blood cell or in dehydration ..

when patient get dehydrated the blood become thick and it leads to show an incraese in pcv..
