Answer is A. Too much salt will cause fluid retention and thus decrease the efficacy of the medication. Do not take salt substitutes as they contain potassium. When taken along with this medication it will cause high levels of potassium.
Option B: High potassium fruits and vegetables should be avoided such as - cantaloupe, papaya, prune juice, honeydew melons, raisins, banana, mango, kiwi, orange, tomatoes, sweet potato, asparagus, pumpkin and brussel sprouts.
Option D: Heart rate can be checked to rule out the side effect of this medication like hyperkalemia.
