Homework Answers

Answer #1

Intake
coffee -2 1/2 cup
1cup = 240ml
240ml X 2.5 = 600ml
grape juice - 11.5ounces
11.5 ounces = 340.10ml
Milk -3/4 quart
3/4 quart = 177ml
Water -320ml
D5W -1litter
1Lit = 1000ml
from the second liter of IV fluid = 250ml
total intake = 600ml+ 340.10ml + 177ml + 320ml + 1000ml + 250ml = 2,687ml
Calculating patient daily intake need to add all the fluids that go inside the patient. it inlcude oralintake, IV fluids, medication, tube feeding, TPN and lipids etc.
