What is the most health threat for young people between 20-25 years old in Saudi Arabia, and what is the main role that you think health promotion -health education must do to tackle this issue? ( in 500 words)

The youth period starts when the young adult age is 18 and after completing the adolescence period. The young age people may involve in order getting the job after completing the education. This is the age when youth starts to do the activities independently. The health status of the young adult is very important. Because future generation is depends on them.

incidence: The Saudi Arabia has dominated population of young adults below 25 years and covered the half of its total population. The major health problems faced by the young adults because of their behaviors and habits.

riskfactors: Many factor involved   to pose threat to the health of the young people. Such factors are alcohol abuse, substance use, tobacco use, risky and hazardous driving, unprotected sexual practice, and threat and violence behaviors in the society. The young adult has a chance of cardiovascular disease as a result of their habits and behavior when they were adolescent’s period. Because this cardiovascular is not sudden occurrence, it connected to the past of life. When they were adolescents, use tobacco, alcohol use, and obesity. Tobacco makes slight changes in the arteries of the vascular system by vasoconstriction and injury to vessels. Rash driving that cause the trauma and major injuries among the young adult. The license for driving a vehicle for young adults is 17 years of age. But dependent on parents and education system, lack of money, adolescents likely to use vehicle. But when they turned 21, become independent on their action, earns money and it promotes rash driving. It causes major accidents and health risks. They involve in violence and threat and harm self and others. The young adults smoke in order to attract the women, results in smoking injuries and unsafe sexual practices. The dietary practice and sedentary lifestyle results in obesity among young adults. They prefer to choose their dietary pattern and living pattern

problems: Young adults suffer from many problems such as emotional, psychological and behavioral in addition to trauma. Some other health issues faced by young adults are obesity and nutritional problems. the major risks are diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, atherosclorosis, Sexually transmitted disease, fracture and disability

Monitoring:

The young adults can be monitored often and educate them to monitor their weight, blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol in order to monitor diabetes, blood pressure, hypercholesterolemia. young adults are identified and periodic monitoring and assessing their environment by collecting history and habits

Health promotion and health education:

Health promotion is implemented in order to improve health of young adult and controlling the disease where as the health education is provided by educating the young adults to take precaution against the disease. Health promotion is implemented at by providing health education and behavioral changes, nutrition education. Health promotion can be initiated by means of political, social, economic intervention.

Unemployment: unemployment is major reason for emotion problem among young adults. Young adults can be provided employment after tiding a relationship with political leaders based on qualification and talents.

Health education is the first part of health promotion. It can be easily given by health care giver and its main advantage is cost effective. Health education is through the television, radio, individual education, work area.

Safe driving Young adults are educated use of safety belts and reduce speed limit of vehicle while driving. Prohibition intake of alcohol and substance while driving results reduces injury and trauma. They can be educated to use helmets while riding. Rash driving can be stopped by imposing on the tax, fines on them who breached the laws.

environemnt: young adults are provided safe environement and stress ful environment by comparing with the occupational laws. it helps to reduce their stress

violence: people who involve in crime, report to governemnt agenices in order to regulate their behavior by menas counselling and punishment.

Life style challenges: dietary changes: young adults are educated regarding use of good nutritional food which helps to reduce the heart related disease. The atherosclerosis that deposited in the vessels due to chronic intake of oily and meat foods. Young adults are educated to choose their foods and preferences by providing a good meal plan with categories. Young adults are provided with good nutrition when the unemployment is prevalent. Because of the unemployment, they tend to choose faulty nutrition.

Exercise: young adults are obesity due to faulty nutrition. The weight can be reduced not only by the diet and exercise. This helps to reduce heart disease by improving blood circulation all over body

Behavioral changes: young adults are counseled regarding controlling the behavior and emotional by providing health education regarding the coping techniques and relaxation exercise to control their emotions. Employed people can consume faulty nutrition due to their work schedule and stress. Health education can be given to reduce stress by providing variety techniques.

safe sexual practices: young adults are educated to use protective equipment on sexual practices and educate them to periodic check up for any probelm of reproductive system.
