Charge nurses should have excellent skills in communication and quick decision making skills. They should evaluate patient care, resolve conflicts and should anticipate problems. When a hospital need a charge nurse to take the charge nurse to be on full patient load or assigning or in 2 places at ones, the hospital puts the patients life at risk and its unethical. Charge nurse supervise and support a nursing staff along with treating a number of patients. Charge nurse can assign patient to LPN appropriately and can evaluate the patient care.
