Answer: Stigma pervades the people's life. Those people who are already stigmatized, it cuases severe impact on the health status. Stigma has adverse impact on the mental health status of a person. People suffers from anxiety, depression etc. This could also reduce or degrade the self esteem of a person. Stigma also increases the health risk such as various disease because people doesn't get their test done. Hence the lack of information could increase the risk of spread of the diseases. For example a person having severe symptoms and weakness without any known cause. Hence due to stigma he may not get his test (diagnostic) done. Hence this would lead to increase health issues.
