The Iron triangle in health care refers to the concept that access, cost and quality cannot all be simultaneously improved. The premise is that an improvement in one area result in a declin in atleast one of the others.

As health care organizations evaluate ways to effectively manage cost ,the connections that exists across operations, finance and human resources. Is having a shared goal improve the value of patient care delivered at the lowest cost is possible.

Labor is the largest cost in most health care providers organizations. The reality of health care reform is that while continuous cost improvement is important.poor quality can have a direct correlation to financial returns.
