In Florida, three departments are responsible for providing safe, hygienic and healthy food. They are

1. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (DACS)
2. Department of Business and Professional Regulations
3. Department of Health

Department of Health : it works with institutions, schools, civic or fraternal organizations, bars and lounges, and USDA Afterschool Meal Program that provide different variety of food and meal and inspect and issue food certificates.

?Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services : this department is responsible to inspect and keep a check on grocery stores, food processing plants, food storage, and distribution points.

Department of business and professional regulations: it inspects and licences the professional food suppliers like restaurants, mobile food vehicles, and caterers.
