Misoprostol is a synthetic prostaglandin E,
widely used for the treatment of gastric ulcer in patients taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It has been shown to be a useful agent for termination of preg-
nancy in the first, second and third trimesters'-3, and more recently has been used for cervical ripening and induction of labour.

The nurse should continuously monitoring the patient and ask the patient to inform when contraindication occur. Also instruct the patients that it won't affect the well-being of foetus. Instruct patient that painful contraction will be the result of misoptrostol.
