Why must the data be converted to information?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Data is usually unstructured or semi-structured. To understand the data, We need to clean the data and take care missing values be it columns or rows and take appropriate action by replacing or dropping those NA values, Creating new features(Also called columns) from existing columns and weighing their correlation factor using statistics, Predicting a specific column with the existing columns using machine learning algorithms, etc.. which may vary depending on the use case.

When we make the data transformed from unstructured or semi-structured format to structured format it can then be used to bring out insights which is called as information.

What is data?

Scraping covid stats for a country or the world is called data

What is information?

Bringing out insights like how many cases are yet to occur considering the current rate of increase in cases is called information.

I hope it helps.

Ammonia is toxic and must be converted to urea in order to be excreted. The following statements describe the process: A: ammonia is transported into the liver as either alanine or glutamine. B: transamination is a key step in the release of ammonia from glutamine. C: urea is formed and excreted primarily by the kidneys. D: alanine carries ammonia waste from muscle to the liver; once in the liver, alanine is converted via pyruvate to glucose, which may be returned...

A video camera has a 1024 x 1024 pixel matrix. Each pixel must be converted from analog signal to corresponding digital signal by an ADC. The analog-to-digital conversion process takes 0.1 microseconds (0.1 x 10-6sec) to complete, including the time to move between the pixels. How long will it take to collect the image data for one frame, and is this time compatible with processing at the rate of 20 frames per second?
