Answer #1

ANP(Atriail natriuretic peptide) is a harmone which is released by the cardiac muscle cells in the cardiac atria. It's main function is reducing ECF(extra cellular fluid) volume during ECF expansion by enhancing or increasing renal sodium excretion and vasodialation,so it is having a main function to regulate blood pressure also.it is one of the Bio markers used to detecting or finding cardio vascular diseases like heart failure, heart stroke, coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction.

You have isolated a peptide, which you wish to sequence. First you treat the peptide with CNBr and isolate two fragments. With a separate portion of the peptide you cleave with trypsin and obtain 3 fragments. You sequence each of the five peptides and get the following data: Peptide 1: VALKTQAM Peptide 2: LDGKM Peptide 3: TQAM Peptide 4: LDGK Peptide 5: MVALK The sequence of the original peptide is: LDGKMVALKTQAM VALKTQAMLDGKM VALKTQAMLDGKM MVALKTQAMLDGK
