I have learned just how many opportunities the nursing/ medical field has to offer. I have realized that nurses have a very large role in the care patients receive when they are at their most vulnerable and just how much those people depend on nurses. Some insight i have learned is that nursing is all about having compassion and wanting to help others, you do not go into nursing for the money or the credit of being a nurse you do it because you want to make a small difference in your life and the lives of your patients.

Do you agree or desagree? Please explain.

I totally agree with the statement because nurses are the only person that are with the patient from the day they are admitted and until the day they are discharged. In this time patients don't only need the medical treatment but also moral support to survive and fight with the situation they are in and this support is constantly given by the nurse. Nurse are the one that sit and talk with the patient and they actually know more about patient than doctor does. The warmth a nurse can provide to a patient can not be provided by doctor and the small care that nurse does to a patient makes a big difference in their recovery. I certainly think that the profession is not about money and very rare examples of altruism can be seen in the nursing profession that is selfless deeds done by nurse to the patient
