The method of teach back helps the nurse to have a confirmation of how appropriately the concepts have been explained by them to the patient. The teach back method helps in confirming that the nurse has explained what is necessary for the patient to know in a way that is understandable by the patient. It teaches cultural competence because it ensures that patients/ caregivers from different cultural backgrounds are able to understand the healthcare outline.
