Answer : According to Dweck, individuals can be placed on a continuum according to their implicit views of where ability comes from. A growth mindset is the understanding that abilities and understanding can be developed. Those with a growth mindset believe that they can get smarter, more intelligent and more talented through putting in time and effort. Those with a growth mindset are apt to see challenges as a natural part of the learning process .They work harder and smarter, helping them to learn and achieve more than stodents with a fixed mindset . The main problems from these misinterpretations are that they cause students and adult learners . 1)Persist with ineffective learning strategies by obessing over effort . 2) Become frustrated when they continue to display thought and actions associated with the fixed mindset ,throwing their learning off course . 3) A growth mindset is often confused withher the idea of having a positive attitude .
