Validity in research is determined by the study conclusions and results, i.e. strength of the study that how effectively you have answered your research questions. The outcomes of your study measures the credibility of your study.

Validity is understood that how much your tool measures the thing actually it supposed to measure. For instance, Burnout scale assessing staff burnout.

Reliability is overall consistency of the measure. For instance wether the tool is used by the efficient trained data collector and clearly explains everything to the subject, data collected in the same manner for every subject etc.
