what is the principle operation of image intensifier fluoroscopy ? and is flat panel fluoroscopy better than it ? and why.
I hope you will rate my answer positively--
Principal image intensifier operation -
The image intensifier is an electronic vaccum tube that converts the remnant light beam of rays to light , then electrons, than back to the light therefore increasing the light intensity in the following process. The high energy electrons that interact with the output phosphor component which result in substantially more light photons and than it was necessary to cause their release at the photocathode.
The flat panel system can perform even in lower dose levels with equal to the better image quality , image resolution is also higher , shape distortion also decreases,so it is more suitable technique for pediatric fluroscopy ,in comparison to the image intensifier systems.
Thankyou.
