What is an ethnographic overview of a disease?

I am writing a paper on Infectious Mononucleosis and the introduction is supposed to be the ethnographic overview of mono, but I'm very confused on what that means. Please tell me in simple terms what this means and maybe provide an example.

the name for this disease was given because of an excessive number of monocytes which is caused by Epstein-Barr virus.

also known as glandular fever, mostly infected with children (no symptoms) and young adults. symptoms that can be in young adults are:

  • fever
  • sore throat
  • enlarged lymph nodes in neck
  • extreme fatigue

splenomegaly or hepatomegaly may occur(-megaly _enlargement)

mode of transmission

  • saliva( common)(through drinking glass and toothbrush)

disease subside by their own if taking adequate rest, maintaining hydration.

medication like paracetamol and ibuprofen are commonly used to resolve pain
