I agree with the statement "Legal and regulatory compliance is fundamentally an ethical issue." Regulatory frameworks are essential for ensuring compliance with basic standards but in some instances the impact of regulatory as well as legal and ethical issues can be significant. With the increased focus on regulations the quality of patient care is suffering. A report shows that a majority of physicians experience frustration in regard to the complex and expensive systems has shown tremendous barriers. These federal regulations have made patient record keeping even more complicated.
