DASH DIET-- It is an eating plan designed to lower blood pressure. i.e to stop hypertension.
DASH combination diet is rich in fruits, vegetables , and low fat diary foods ,and low saturated and total fat. It also low cholesterol. The dash plan help to lose weight , and maintain healthy body . It is a plan that follows US guidelines for sodium content , along with vitamins and minerals.
1 day menu fitting the DASH plan --
For breakfast - eg Toast with salsa.
- 1 slice whole - wheat bread , toasted.
-1 egg , cooked in 1/4 tsp.
- pinch each of salt and pepper.
- 2 tbsp or salsa.
top bread with the egg , salt, pepper, and salsa - 1 medium banana.
for snacks -- ! pear , sliced topped with cinnamon.
For lunch-- 1 serving - hummus sandwhich
For snacks -- 3/4 cup raspberries.
For dinner-- 1 serving lemon - herb salmon with caponata and Farro.
