This 28 year old primi gravida is on full term presenting with prolapsed cord. Prolpsed cord is an obstetric emergency. So nurse immediately called another nurse to call aa health care provider. &to prep for emergency caessarian surgery.

Nurse assisted her to lower the head of the bed and elevate the clients hips on a pillow, or to place the client in the knee chest position to minimize pressure from the cord.She also assessed cord pulsations frequently and also given physical and psychological support to the client.She also elevate the presenting prolapsed cord via digital vaginal finger method and also wrapped prolapsed cord gently with guaze soaked in sterile saline solution.
