Answer #1

It important to know why nurses enter and leave the profession with regards to retention and recruitment because healthcare is a very sensitive and serious industry. The future of the American nursing workforce and the efficient delivery of health care depends upon the recruitment and retention of the experienced and qualified staff. If people leave and are not recruited there will be a sharp decline and shortage of the qualified nursing staff leading to a decline in the quality of services provided.
