IMPORTANCE OF ADMINSTERING INSULIN ON TIME TO A PATIENT:

An insulin is a hormone which is synthesized by the islets of langerhans in the pancreas, it controls the amount of glucose in the blood, any imbalance in the insulin leads to diabetes mellitus.

It is very important to administer insulin on time as the insulin is usually administered post prandial and post prandial that is before food and after food respectively, as soon as food enters in the body and it starts to break down in the stomach and when the glucose travels in the blood thats when the insulin acts, therefore it is very important that the insulin is administered on time so that there is balance between the glucose levels in the blood.
