Your patient is a 28-year-old female and needs to conduct a vigorous aerobic exercise at 93 % VO2 Reserve. Her resting VO2 is 4 (mL/(kg*min)) and max VO2 is 58 (mL/(kg*min)). What is her exercise target VO2 (mL/(kg*min))?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Target VO2 is calculated with this formula..

Target VO2 = (VO2 reserve ) ( Exercise intensity as a fraction ) + resting VO2

VO2 reserve = VO2 max. - Resting VO2

so, subsisting the values from the above question

VO2 max.= 58 mL/ kg*min

Resting VO2 = 4 mL/kg*min

Exercise intensity in fraction = 0.93

Target VO2 = ( 58 - 4 ) ( 0.93 ) + 4

= 54.22 mL/kg*min.

i hope by the above discription u got u r answer..if u have any question u can ask in comment section..

if u liked it then please give thumbs up..☺️
