Small pox is an acute contagious disease caused by the variola virus.. Small pox is completely eradicated from the earth and the last case was reported on 1949 in United States.  

Epidemiology should always be explained based on agent host and environmental factors. Small pox spreads through direct contact with respiratory droplets, secretions and skin lesions of an infected person and through fomites. The symptoms usually begins with fever malaise head and body aches.. 2 to 3 days after the first symptom rashes develop from the mouth. spreading to the face arms and the legs.

Health safety issues..... It can become a pandemic killing thousands of people.

Lack of health care facilities, medications

Lack of personal protective equipments.

Lack of facilities for isolation.
