Chemical peel is the process of making skin smooth by means of some chemicals. It is used in facial skin to make it more smoother and brighter than older skin. The dead skin peels off and newer skin is more smoother and brighter and looks more younger. Wrinkles are also removed by using the technique of chemical peeling. The chemicals used are alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids, retinoic acid etc. There are some complications of the chemical peeling like photosensitivity, skin color change, skin atrophy, injury, scarring etc. Professionals are required to minimize the complications of the chemical peeling.
