What is the common laws traditional viewpoint concerning a bystander’s duty to come to the aid of a person in need? How, if at all, is that duty different today? How might it differ depending on who the bystander is?

The common law states that a bystander has no obligation to come to the aide of a victim unless he has caused any injury to the client.The bystander has no general legal responsibility to do a duty.

But being a human and on moral basis the bystander could help the victim.

This duty is different today because most of the people are aware of the first aide. They help victim in the need with the knowledge gained by them.

But it also differs depending on the bystander

• whether the bystander has a leadership skill, helped a victim previouly
• Reassuring the victim
• confidence and sympathy to help a victim in need
• resources available and arranging as per the requirement
• call for ambulance
• if the bystander can travel with the victim to the hospital
• Providing a noice free ,comfortable environment for the victim
• how active the bystander is
• critical thinking capacity in an emergency or a need
