Are the traditional American beliefs in free markets and respect for personal autonomy contributing to diet-related public health crises such as obesity and diabetes?
What values are preventing the United States from actively curbing high-calorie, low-nutrient food consumption through nutrition label requirements, advertising restrictions, and taxes on unhealthy foods?
What ethical principles should guide the U.S. food industry that manufactures, sells, and advertises high-fat, high-calorie, low-nutrient food and beverages as the industry responds to the public’s nutrition and food safety concerns?
Should the industry’s pursuit of the public’s common good be limited to regulatory compliance and meeting the requirements of food safety laws, while leaving ethical principles a matter for legislatures, government regulatory agencies, and the courts to decide and mandate? In other words, should nutrition be an individual consumer responsibility and not the duty of the food industry or government?
I realize this is 4 questions but it is a discussion post and I need the same person with the same views to answer all 4 questions. If you have the ability to charge me for 4 questions, please do so. Furthermore, I really need a good grade on this assignment and hoping someone that has excellent English grammatical skills can answer these questions without completely giving it away that they're from the middle east. Also, if I could get the answers to these questions in 4 separate paragraphs with a total word count between 150 and 200, I would be very thankful. If any of this is too much to ask, please don't answer and let someone else do so. Thank you very much in advance!
