Alzheimers disease is where the patient is having dementia and we must think from there point of view that they don't remember anything and even how to climb a stair.

1. Avoid slippery floors:- have a rough carpet of the floor that avoids slipping and fall of the patient.

2.Keep the door locks always open especially when the patient is in particular room to address the emergency and to have a better notice of client.

3.lock all the emergency hazardous items like knives etc.Install childproof latches on cabinets and drawers to limit access to potentially dangerous items. Use child-restraint caps on medication containers.

4.place night lights in patient room.

5.Avoid keeping heaters in the restroom and have a good monitoring on the water temperature.

6. Have a good look at client while they sleep in the night , they can wake up any moment for anything.

7. Think that you are dealing with a toddler and care must be given as such .
