1) Other information should the nurse gather in health history is about family history of type 1 diabetes ,Hashimoto thyroiditis , grave diseases , mother history of thyroid or present thyroid problems if any

( As Patient symptoms are very similar to hypothyroidism which are mainly caused in children due to autoimmune disease or genetic disorder thus risks are gathered in health history)

2) lab tests which nurse would expect to be ordered are blood tests that measure TSH and level of thyroxine in serum as both test help in detecting hypothyroidism as increased TSH and decrease thyroxine level show underactive thyroid

a) Regular follow up is necessary to avoid risk of complication due to it

b) medication compliance is very crucial and medication should be taken as prescribed and on time

c) Weight reduction is important and reduction in weight can help in controlling hypothyroidism which can be done high fibre and carbohydrates rich diet and avoiding junk and snacks also carbonated beverages
