Covid 19

It is a newly found corona virus that cause severe respiratory problems.

Prevalence of Covid 19 corona virus

• It is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, it spreads between people, specifically when an infected person is in close contact with another person.
• The spread of virus from an infected person’s mouth or nose when they cough, sneeze, speak or breathe heavily. These liquid particles are different sizes, ranging from larger droplets to aerosols
• Very recent studies emphasize that the main way of transmission of virus is by respiratory droplets among people who are in close contact with each other.
• Aerosol transmission occurs in mainly in a crowded or occupied space where people gather and an infected person can spread the the virus to healthy individuals of that group
• People remaining in close proximity is the biggest threat and major cause of prevalence of Covid 19
• Confined and enclosed spaces with poor ventilation , can result in spread of virus very easily
• In hospitals and healthcare facilities different procedures can support the spread of virus
• Lack protective clothings in health care like PPE kit and face shield or mask can double the chances of it's spread
• Finally the prolonged period of testing and clinical trials taking longer to introduce vaccine against Covid 19 is a major reason for the prevalence of Covid 19 across the world.
