Nursing intervention:

• Review pathology- active & Inactive Phases. chances of dissemination of of infection through bronchi to adjacent tissues or via blood Stream and/ or lymphatic System.
• Airborne droplet spread dealing with coughing, sneezing, talking Spitting etc.
• Identify the persons at risk like house hold members & Close friends.
• Give instruction to patient to cough or Sneeze to tissue and refrain from Spitting.
• Good handwashing techniques and disposal of tissue.
• Necessity of infection control measures.
• Monitor temperature.
• Individual risk factors.
• identification stress importance of uninterrupted drug therapy.
• importance of follow up and periodic reculturing of Sputum and Reviewing.
• encourage Well balanced meals.
• Liver function evaluation.
• Notify local health department.
• primary drugs therapy - INH, ethambutal, rifampicin, pyrazinamide, streptomycin.
• Second line drugs:-PAS, Cycloserine, ethionamide

• Mantaux tuberculosis skin test.
• evaluation of patient for history of the disease.
