Assisted living or Nursuing home: To know which one should be considered for a particular person let's look on the factors responsible and that determines what should be considered.
1. Physical health of the person: If the physical help of the person is fine but they feel it will no longer will be same then assisted living is the option for them. And if the person is unable to do the day to day activities of his own for example if they are bed ridden or on wheel chair means they are unable to live independently then the option in that case is nursing home.
2. Mental health: if the mental health is not good then they need nursing home.
3. Medical dependence: if the person is unable to take medicines of his own and need someone's assistance then Assisted living can also work but if they need to take some iv injections or need 24*7 medical help then nursing home will be more suitable.
4. Social life: Assisted living is best if the senior citizen is unable to manage his day today activities of his own and want to live carefree life maintaining the social life active.
So basically if the person is have decide between the assisted living and nursing home then the mamajor factor is their health physical mental and social. So if they are stable in these factors nothing much to consider and they want to live a active life they can prefer assisted living but if they need some serious continuous medical help then nursing home is suitable.
