Introduction for type 1 diabetes and thesis statement

Introduction for type 1 diabetes and thesis statement

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Type 1 diabetes is characterized by juvenile onset or at times adult onset. In this metabolic disorder, the pancreas does not produce sufficient quantities of insulin and this leads to high blood sugar levels called hyperglycemia. The cause of type 1 diabetes is the autoimmune attack by the body's own immune system and killing of the beta cells in the pancreas that produce insulin. The treatment involves administering insulin and lifestyle management by eating a healthy diet and doing physical activity. A thesis statement can be exploring the use of stem cell technology to treat diabetes type 1.
