Health care ethics important for moral decision-making in health care practice. moral standards provide ethical values that are important for good communication that incorporates trust, accountability, respect in medical care. patient privacy, confidentiality make respect to the persons.
Moral issues incorporate in health care include human rights, equity, confidentiality, safety, preventing conflict, ethical standards, informed consent, end of life decsions, etc. these moral issues make challenges in health care. ethical awareness empowers to follow moral standards that make safety and ethical care. health care goal for the patient care should be protection, promotion, and restoration of health and wellbeing, it should avoid patients sufferings, promote wellbeing, caring patient, family, and individual. moral issues arise in health care when these standards are failing to adhere to. DNR order placed in the patient medical record by a doctor informed that CPR procedures should not be attempted. Do Not Resuscitate as an ethical issue include futility, withholding, or withdrawing interventions, advance directives for practicing procedures. For children's parents find it difficult psychologically and emotionally in DNR decisions. older adults have the ability to make decisions for their DNR option. but for children and young adults, parents will make decisions for the DNR decision.
young people refuse the CPR illogically or they will be not mature enough to make their medical decisions. that time DNR will be a complex process for health care professionals. parents may make decisions for their young children who can not express their preference. parents and patients' right to refuse the treatment. parents for their young one they do now want to suffer anymore. the duty of care is not when we do not preserve the life of the patient. there are no obligations to provide life-sustaining treatment if the benefits of treatment no more use to avoid the patient burden. the physician not legally obligated to make a specific diagnostic procedure to the patient, the resuscitation of the young patient would be futile.it is the duty of the professionals to assess the child's competency for decision making. it is important to make timely, open communication among parents, patients, and members of the children team to be informed and make the moral decision making.
