BiPAP Therapy (Bi level Positive Airway Pressure)

A machine helps to breathe through a mask connected by a tube. It can be used for Sleep Apnea,COPD cases.
The machine has a small motor that blows air into a tube that connects to a mask that covers the nose and mouth or Nose alone.

This is a Non Invasive type of Ventillation.

In COPD Laboured breathing will be there. Shortness of breath and wheezing can worsen as the condition progresses.

BiPAP therapy helps by giving a custom air pressure for inhale and exhale.

Research has shown that for people who have COPD and higher carbon dioxide levels, regular nighttime BiPAP use can improve quality of life and breathlessness, and increase long-term survival.

Side Effects

• Nasal Congestion
• Dry Nose
• Rhinitis

Complications are not common.All respiratory problems we cannot use.Air Leakage can happen and which will lead to ineffective oxygen delivery.
