Answer #1

Answer 1 - Collective environment

Explanation

  • It promotes human to human contact.
  • Reduces errors and promotes understanding.
  • Reduces stress because work gets divided and you always have someone to interact with.
  • You always have a colleague to approach if you finding something difficult to understand instead of approaching a teacher ( who may not be approachable always)
  • Helps you to understand newer cultures and sensitizes you towards them

Answer 2:

  • Experience has been good.
  • I have had the opportunity of working with people who spoke a different language and had their own different culture.
  • It made me realize that the basic aspiration ( like need to succeed in life) and nature of people are the same across cultures.
  • We aren't that different after all.
  • It helped me understand their culture and their language.
  • I also understood things that they enjoy the most. Example: the place where I come from football is not that popular but it was very popular in the region my colleagues hailed from.
  • It also allowed me to share my cultural beliefs with them
  • Some of them even learn the language of my region.

Answer 3

  • Yes I have made an effort to learn about their culture.
  • I have used the internet to study the culture and history of my colleagues.
  • I have demonstrated my attempts at learning their culture by asking them questions and doubts.
  • We have even celebrated few festivals which are not native to my region but are common in the region my colleagues hail from.
