When you mix regular insulin with other types of insulin always draw the regular insulin into the syringe.NPH insulin should be drawn after regular insulin is drawned into the syringe. After mixing the mixture the formulation should be used immediately. We always draw regular insulin first because regular insulin are clear and other types of insulin are cloudy.Regular insulin are short acting insulin. They are available in different brands like Novolin R,Humulin R.Regular insulin is used for the long term management of diabetes.
