Types of Pesticides

  • Insecticides – insects.(Eg: Organophosphates, organochlorine, and carbamates)
  • Herbicides – plants.
  • Rodenticides – rodents (rats & mice)
  • Larvicides – larvae.

The pesticides again classifieds into three organic, inorganic and synthetic pesticides. The organochlorine is largely used by replacing organophosphate and carbamates because of its toxic effect in humans
