Answer : Medical assistant is a person who works along with a physician in medical offices and clinics. They are trained to perform both administrative and clinical duties. They have to build good relationship with patients.

Clinical duty includes

- Taking medical history.

- Update patient medical records.

- Detailing the patient about the treatment procedure.

- Preparing the patient for examination.

- Assisting the physician during examination.

- Manage Laboratory Tests and X-Rays - specimen collection & preperation and Performing basic test in laboratory.

- Explaining patients about medication and special diets.

- Preparing and administering medications as directed by the doctor.

- Perform other routine medical tasks like delivering injections, drawing blood, removing sutures, changing dressings etc.
