The problem is that many of us have to learn to actively listen. I am sure we all had an argument once in a while, but we only hear part of the conversation because our brain needs to answer immediately. This is more selective hearing. How would you know if someone is actively listening?

1 eye contact -maintaining eye contact.

2position or body gesture- maintaining correct position.

3 active participation in question and answer session.

4attention -the active listner not doing repeated activity such as lookind for time in watch ,playing with hair ,keys, cell phone.nail bitting.

5 Repeating- repeating sentences what you heard.

6Giving response about understanding and doubts clarrification.

7 Try to ignor distraction condition.

8 facial expression shows that actively listen or not

9 keep hands and feet still.

10 focus on what is being said.
