Yes in my house we always had a food rule, even when I was growing up. Even now it is still there and I am going to consider it even in future. Yes sometimes on various occasions, there occurs a cheat day but that's not a regular thing. A proper health oriented food should contain lots of green vegetables, protein rich foods, less sugar or carbs, proper foods containing all the necessary vitamins, fruits and so on. The amount is determined based on the age of each person in the house. So each day we take green leafy veges, atleast one item that is rich in proteins, we try to avoid carbs as much as possible, milk, fruits. If you need a chart, then let me know.
