Answer #1

Unstable angina is characteried by lack oxygen and blood supply to the heart that may result in a heart attack. Angina is a form of discomfort in the chest as a result of insufficient flow of blood in the coronary vessels of the myocardium.

Following are the primary assessment that should be done in this condition:

  • Chest radiography: chest radiography is primary assessment done in case of unstable angina as it helps in evaluation for mainly congestive heart failure and other symptoms such as pulmonary infection or pulmonary hypertension.
  • Electrocardiogram: Electrocardiogram is important as it could detect the blocking of branches.
  • Echocardiogram: It checks for any problem in coronary arteries.
