Before teaching the patient about the postpartum immunization one must always be confident and through about the topic as there may be questions after the teaching session.

Always define the topic,the postpartum immunization is defined as a vaccine which is administered to the patient during the postpartum phase in order to prevent from the relevant disease. The vaccines which is involved in postpartum immunization is called as Tdap which is Tetanus toxoid, Diptheria and accelular pertusis.

• The post partum immunization helps in preventing the related disease for example tetanus toxoid vaccine prevents from the disease tetanus.
• It reduces maternal mortality.
• It helps child receive proper nutrition and reach normal developmental milestones.
