HYPONATREMIA :Low level of sodium in the body.

Symptoms - nausea, vomiting, headache, confusion, fatigue, drowsiness, seizure, muscle weakness etc..

Sign - low level of sodium showed in blood or urine test.

NURSING CARE :

• IV sodium chloride infusion can be given as treatment (3% Saline hypertonic solution)
• Check weight regularly
• If the patient has renal impairment may need dialysis.
• Monitor serum electrolyte levels.
• Document accurately intake and output.
