Answer #1

Definition of Sex : Sex is a biological diffrentiation between the two sexes comprising of males and females. It signifies the anatomical and physical apperance of any individual. The most common things taken into consideration while differentiating the sexes are genitalia and hormones.

Definition of Gender : Gender is a compositon of characteristics of any individual which have been defined socially and can vary from place to place and time to time as these can be changed. This is typically based on the norms assigned by the society.

The key differences between sex and gender are as follows:

1. Sex is defined biologically, whereas gender is defined by the characteristics which have been given socially.

2. Sex depends upon the genitalia and hormones in the body, whereas gender depends upon the assigned roles and difference in the relationships amongst the men and women.

Yes, the live would be easier if the construct of gender did not exist at all. Girls and boys would actually be treated the same way and no discrimination would have existed right from birth if gender had not been introduced.

Assigning different roles and maintaining the relationships amongst men and women has led to segmentation of resources present in the world according to the gender. Everything ever created in the world, for example even colours are supposed to be assigned equally to all the people in the world.

Assinging of clothes and work has changed the outcome of how people adapt to their surroundings. This could have been equally distrubuted the all the people in the world if social roles were not introduced.

Any individual should actually be free minded and open to indentify himself/herself according to the choices made by self. Living and exisiting in this world would have been more easier if people were contrasted only according to their genitalia and hormones.
