They are the chemicals that have the ability to disrupt or interfere with the endocrine system.

FUNCTIONS OF ENDOCRINE DISRUPTORS IN THE BODY

1. If they are absorbed in the body, they can decrease or increase normal hormone levels.

2. They can also mimic natural hormone and disturbs the endocrine glands and cells.

3. They can alter the natural production of hormones.

EFFECTS OF INCREASED GLUCOSE CONCENTRATION ON INSULIN SECRETION

If glucose concentration increases in the body, it decreases secretion of glucagon and increases the secretion of insulin from the pancrease.
