Answer: Due to excessive workload, the nurse suffers from burnout. When the nurse suffers from burnout, it impact the way the care is being delivered to the patient. It means it reduces the quality of care, increases the chances of medical error and adverse action.

The PICO question nurse dealing with stress :

P-(Problem) : Nurse burnout.

I-(Intervention) : The regular check ups for the nurse staff in relation to their health. Education process provided to nurse to handle the stress.Managing the nurse patient ratio.

C(comparison) : increasing the nurse staff if their is shortage, rotational shifts should be implemented.

O( outcome) Reduction in the nursing burnout, increase in the quality of care provided to patients.

So, the PICO question arises that:

Would changing the nurse patient ration could elevate the mental health of the nurses and could reduce the burnout?
