a) Ans- From given question, weight=1900grams=1.9kgs.

Dose=10mcg/kg/hr

Rate =5ml/hr

The derived formula in ml of dopamine /hr=0.0015 x weight x dose(mcg/kg/hr)

=0.0015 x 1.9kgs x 10=0.028ml/hr of dopamine =0.03ml/hr

Total rate =5ml/hr then

In the 50ml of syringe, 5-0.03=4.7ml normal saline /hr to infuse so,

50ml syringe to be filled with 49. 7ml NS+0.03ml dopamine to be given.

b)ans- dopamine dose =10mcg/kg/min=10 x1. 9 x60=1140mcg means 1.140mg of dopamine to be compound.

C) ans- from the above equation, we get answer that,

0.03ml of dopamine needed to dilute with normal saline.

d) ans- Here also same as above, 49.7ml of normal saline is mix with dopamine in 50ml syringe.
