Naproxen is commonly prescribed to relieve signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, tendinitis, and bursitis.

The tablets should be swallowed whole, without chewing, with plenty of liquid. This medicine is most effective when taken on an empty stomach. If patient is have a sensitive stomach, it is best to take the tablets with meals to avoid stomach distress.

It must be keep in mind when taking naproxen in empty stomach.;

  • Naproxen may cause ulcers and bleeding in your stomach and intestines. This can happen at any time during treatment and may occur without symptoms. This effect can result in death. You’re at higher risk if you’re older than 65 years.
