Explain sequential and concurrent design, and when do you use them?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Sequential design:-

Sequential design is combination of both longitudinal design and cross sectional designs. The main advantage of this is to help researchers to find different differences between two or more individuals.

Longitudinal data:-

This is the design that measures the difference between 2 individuals and the main concept of this longitudinal design is studying the changes and variations in individuals.

Cross sequential data:-

The main concept of this is to study or research about the developments in an individual over a large period of time in lifespan.

This type of data used for researchers to research the differences between two individuals.

Concurrent design:-

This includes steps of design completions and manufacturing stages of design production. In this type of design this 2 steps will be completed at the same time to save time and price can be lowered also. Some benefits of this designs are:-

* Cost reduction.

* Time saving.

* Increases multi disciplinary collaboration.

* Make number of designes faster.

* Give the strong competition to the competitors, etc.

This design is used for concurrent engineers(simultaneous engineers) to produce many designs at a time.
